Crispy Maple Bacon Brussel Sprouts

Gluten-free, dairy free, no refined sugar appetizer or side.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 lbs organic brussel sprouts, halved

  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 3-4 tbsp maple syrup, plus more for drizzle

  • 6 slices organic pork bacon, chopped

  • Sea salt & black pepper to taste


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 350º F

  2. Wash brussel sprouts, cut off the ends, then cut each lengthwise in half

  3. Toss brussel sprouts in a bowl with EVO, maple syrup, salt & pepper

  4. Line a baking sheet with non-stick parchment paper and spread the brussel sprouts in one even layer

  5. Sprinkle chopped bacon on top of brussel sprouts

  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until desired crispiness

  7. Top with an extra drizzle of maple syrup & a sprinkle of flaky sea salt
